Hello. Today I celebrated Bailey's 16th birthday at iPlay America. Everyone who attended (save for Matt) cosplayed. I was Kicks from Animal Crossing, Amy was Roxy from Homestuck, Rosa was a minion from Despicable Me, Vicki was Pikachu, Bailey was Castiel, Bailey's brother and his friend, RJ and Dean, were both originally Tony Stark, until RJ changed his mind and renamed himself 'Steve Gomez' from Breaking Bad.
The first thing that happened at this party was the opening of gifts from Rosa, Amy, and I. She opened Amy's first, which was a box full of individually wrapped nickels (all equating to $10). Next, she opened Rosa's gift, which was literally a dead light bulb (and a ten dollar bill), and lastly mine, which was a mug that I drew on. I drew her as an angel and yeah.
Next, we played a round of laser tag, and BOY OH BOY that thing is intense. Well, first off, we had to decided teams. Bailey and Dean were team captains. Bailey first chose Amy, I think? Dean chose me first, which is very nice because how often do I get picked first? Basically, the teams were as follows:
Team Dean [blue]: Dean, RJ, Jen, and I
Team Bailey [red]: Bailey, Vicki, Amy, Matt, and Rosa
Laser tag is so much fun, and Barney Stinston was right. That game is legen- wait for it- dary. Legendary.
Team Dean ended up losing, unfortunately, but whatever.
After that shindig, we next went to go on this Moby Dick ride, that wasn't actually named Moby Dick, but yeah. Vicki called it the 'Spinny-Rotating-Swoopy Ride' or something like that. That ride wasn't as riveting as I'd hope so. It was pretty boring, tbh.
The next ride ridden was this really awesome spinning dinosaur ride. Vicki, Matt, Rosa, Amy, and I rode in it all together. I believe that the seating arrange ment was first Rosa, then Amy, then Matt, then Me, and then Vicki.
That ride was basically a Tilt-a-Whirl Teacups hybrid. The five of us spun hardcore. Gahhh so much fun. While we were on that ride, the others, Bailey, Dean, RJ, and Jen went on bumper cars.
The next thing we all did together, I believe, was try out this rad zombie shooter game. The thing would keep track of your heart rate, and it was so fun. I did pretty good on it, for starting on the hardest level. Bailey and Jen, I think, did the worst, because all I heard was Bailey's screaming. Amy and RJ played a round together, Matt and Dean, and then Dean and I.
We also tried getting some stuffed animals out of a claw machine. It wasn't really stuffed animals but it was the Avengers, basically. The machine had Iron Man, Spooder-man, and the Hulk. We all worked together to calculate the perfect spot to pick out one of them, and two out of the three chances we were given, we were able to pick up the Iron Man and Hulk, but because the claw is rigged, it dropped it both times. So, no prize for us.
I believe after the arcade trip, we had a snack pit stop. We exchanged snapchat accounts, and ate nachos, bbq wings, mozzarella sticks, and chicken tenders.
The whole crew decided to go on the dino-spinny ride again. I rode with Bailey and Vicki, and ugh GOD, while Vicki and I tried to go hardcore again, Bailey kept getting nauseous, and have us stop spinning the dinosaur. LAAAMMMEEE. Apparently, the same happened to those riding with her brother, RJ.
After that lame-fest, all the cool kids who can handle hardcore spinning went on together, while the others did...whatever they went on to do. The order that we sat in was Rosa, Matt, Vicki, Me, and Dean. While waiting in line, Dean was reading the 'DO NOT RIDE IF...' sign, and one thing listed was 'heart conditions'. I then said to him "Oh, Tony, looks like you can't go on this; heart conditions," to which he replied with something along the lines of "Oh, yeah. I have shrapnel all throughout my heart... aw man".
Anyway, that round was crazy, oh my goodness. We all went all out.We took turns spinning the dinosaur. The rounds were Vicki and Rosa, and Me, Matt, and Dean. Eventually, we were spinning SO fast, my arms were noodles, and I could move my body off of the walls of the dinosaur. Getting off that ride, I was so woozy, and out of it. All five of us needed a 5-10 minute sit-out from moving.
Once the five of us were all better, we moved onto going on another spinning ride (smart, yep). It was a superman-flying type of ride. I rode with Vicki, and together we sang songs such as 'I Believe I Can Fly', 'Breakin' Free', and 'Don't Stop Believing'.
Lastly, we rode on that Moby Dick ride again.
Soon, it was Laser Tag - Round Two: Parents vs Teens. Teens were red team, and parents were blue. This time around, I took more caution than just running round shooting almost everyone I saw, and heck yeah I WAS ON THE WINNING TEAM. WUDDUP?
By this time, it was time to eat actual dinner. I ordered the Penne a la Vodka. The meal was actually kind of spicy, which bothered me a little, but I was fine. Also, one of the waitresses that worked at the restaurant looked like the adult-version of Hazel Grace from the Fault In Our Stars, and we took a picture with her. She was blushing... I think we either made her embarrassed, or something.
After the meal, we were going to all go on go-karts, but Amy's dad picked us up before we could, so I'm salty.
Also; this whole shindig was a lot of fun. I'd like to think that I've made friends with Dean, or at least acquainted with. Which is nice. Having friends is nice.
And that's it!
Thanks for reading.
