Hello. Just a fun fact for ya! Writing stories are not easy. This is really a secret project, but I'm gonna write about it here anyway because I know none of the people I'm hiding it from read or even know about the existence of the blog. BUT if you happen to go by the names of either Vicki, Bailey, or Marianna... don't read this.
Okay! So over the summer my two friends, Rosa and Bailey were both writing stories. Bailey wrote this fabulous fanfiction that includes Dean on a plane, and also Cas on a plane, and also a really talkative girl named Lola, and also super cute stuff. You can read it here.
Furthermore, Rosa is notorious to starting stories and abandoning them. Like, there are cool ideas too, like one that involves the Nerd Herd and something like the Hangover happens. Or this other story that involves a female murderer who kills rapists in vengeance of her killed gf (who was raped & killed. Really dark, I know.) She'd get, like, a chapter finished and then abandon the story.
So their works inspired me to write my own story that involves the Nerd Herd. Amy, Rosa, Marianna, Vicki, Bailey and me!
If you are a faithful reader of my blog and have read a lot of my entries, you would know there is a game we like to play called True American. Now... what if... all those ridiculous rules; the liter of soda is the King, the cans of soda are the Knights of the Secret Order, the floor is lava... what if that were to happen in reality? In my story, I have all of us gathered together, about to play a regular game when we are transported into the inside of a volcano. There are actual knights wearing suits of armor who are the Knights of the Secret Order, and yeah, there is lava. There'll be sword fighting, puzzles, and the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!
I hope this story sounds at least a little appealing. I personally think it's pretty fun. I thought of it on the car ride back home from that super long vacation that I am still haven't finished writing about.
I'm intending for only my friends to read it, but I'll be sure to put a link somewhere on this blog so you can read it if you want.
Now the thing is... writing is hard. I want this story to be as perfect as it can be. Although I've started this project back in July-August... I've only gotten down about 3,500 words. That is... not long at all. From my fanfic reading experience, a decent story with enough depth and stuff is about 10,000 words long. So I've got a long way to go.
I keep on writing and revising and writing and revising... I need this to be perfect. I hope that I'm able of capturing the personalities of my friends. I've never written a story at this extent before. Yeah, I've written a few short stories here and there for school, based on a prompt. But nothing so big as 10,000 words. I'm excited to see how it ends up.
Would you like an excerpt?
Thanks for reading, and wish me luck, man.
It’s a lot to take in. Bailey searches for some type of loophole to get them out of the situation as quickly as possible. An idea strikes her; 'What's stopping me from killing him right now?' With quick grace, she pulls her sword and attempts to slice through the King. In the midst of her actions, the King had managed to teleport away from her. He shakes his head."Darling," Bailey grimaces at the name, "You know the rules. You can't get the King until all the pawns are gone! Now... one... two... three... four," he counts slowly. The group tenses at it and as they each put one hand to their sword and another grabbing the shield off their backs. The king loudly boasts, "JFK!" At that, he disappears, and the clanking of suits of armor are heard as the Knights begin to move. "FDR!" the suits shout.
